I was lucky enough to hear Fred Pearce speak at my local, independent bookstore last night about his latest book, The Coming Population Crash. For those of you who watch “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” you might remember his interview with Stewart back in April about this book. I haven’t read The Coming Population Crash but I was intrigued based on what I heard in the interview and wanted to attend the talk to see if he would elaborate. Now I really want to read this book.
Pearce has written several books besides The Coming Population Crash including When the Rivers Run Dry and Confessions of an Eco-Sinner: Tracking Down the Sources of My Stuff, both of which he briefly discussed before moving on to discuss his latest book and both of which have made their way onto The List.
