I failed to complete the To Be Read (TBR) Challenge both of the years (2008 and 2009) I participated, but I decided to participate in 2011 because I was looking for both a way to clear off my bookshelves of books to read and a bit of a challenge in the new year.
The challenge requires you read twelve books you’ve been meaning to read in twelve months. Obviously, TBR Books cannot be rereads, and he list cannot be changed after January 1. Participants can create an alternates list of 12 books in order to have options to choose from, meaning you can read these in place of books on your original list.
I selected a couple of books I have yet to read from my TBR list in 2009. (While I did manage to read three more books off the list since then, I still had several left.) Hopefully, this year I’ll actually read them. The TBR Challenge runs from January 1 to December 31, 2011.
